To combine both my crafts in visual effects and music, I thought what better than to create a music visualizer with an original song? With the help of a youtube tutorial linked below, I was able to translate my music, via CHOPs network, into a piece of visualized media within Houdini. By adjusting the wavelength and volume range via the Motion Graph Viewer. Then I programmed the triangulated sections of a sphere to move randomly and sporadically along their normals in order to simulate motion according to a certain song. This resulted in an exciting visualizer to help hook viewers onto my music.
